G'day all, seen this a few times in some industry emails, did a search and nothing showed up here.

Loctite 2046
http://www.henkelna.com/industrial/food-be...e-2046-8063.htm

Loctite 2046 Threadlocker is a room temperature-curing anaerobic adhesive designed to lock and seal threaded fasteners on food and beverage processing equipment, ensuring properly secured hardware and improved equipment reliability.

This medium strength, two-part anaerobic threadlocker fully complies with all applicable Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FDA) food additive regulations including 21 C.F.R. 175.300.

* Suitable for use on food and beverage processing equipment
* Prevents the growth of bacteria between fastener threads
* Prevents adhesive migration and contamination by curing at the fillet
* Removable strength for easy service
* Prevents galling and seizing
* Primerless for stainless steel applications
* Withstands temperatures up to 450F

Cheers

Yeah good stuff. My HEX outlet is not a tapered thread, so the ball valve I have on there always comes loose eventually. This would solve that handily!

Hi all, just digging this thread up as this stuff would be useful for a keggle build I am currently sourcing parts for.

Imparting undesirable flavours is my concern. Has anyone had any experience with it?

Thanks.

Assume you have no issues with taste or leakage when using silicone?
