I cannot find a single bit of info about this unit online, anybody know if they're any good? Someone's selling one in my area and I want to buy it if it does what I think it does (chill room-temp beer so I can rid myself of the keg fridges)

Can't help with that unit but here's an interesting article about beer freshness that might change your thoughts about room temp kegs.

While I agree in principle to the idea f storing beer cold, I think that article neglects the fact there are different styles of beer, which all are impacted differently by age.

A big malty stout is likely to fair a lot better with age than a hop forward IPA for example.

Freshness is super important for hoppy beers. Imperial stouts and barleywines may actually improve with a year in the bottle or a barrel.
