Adding a medium pressure adjustable reg will transform your 3 ring burner. I only ever use the two middle rings and boil double batches (48l post boil) with ease.
The only downside is that they don't perform too well when there is any sort of breeze.

I have a blichmann burner which is awesome. Probably rips through the gas a bit more than it needs to but I am pretty carefree with how I use it so could be a bit more economical if I brewed more often.
Could see it doing 100ltr plus brews easy.
Got a medium-high pressure reg that does the trick. 90 minute boils are the way right now as I normally do a 90 min addition for some big ales (7-8%). I am looking at 4-5 out of my 9kg bottle also.

Thanks for the great info guys. Especially the pics Brent. Think I'm going to go for a spiral with an adjustable reg from Epping as it just round the corner from where I'm working at the moment.
Thanks again guys.
Rob

Bought a spiral burner and high pressure adjustable reg from cellars plus yesterday. Not a bad store shame it didn't have a bit more beer gear. But good price $70 for burner and $50 for reg. happy with that. Cheers Brent for the heads up. Now to install into my brew stand and give it ago next brew day.

No worries.
Yeah it isnt a bad store is it, but like i said, its mainly geared towards wines and olive oils and stuff like that. Still some very interesting stuff in there though.

I popped into the city store a couple of weeks ago with a pocket full of cash.
Had driven from Mornington to make the purchase.
Had a fairly lack luster experience and walked out empty handed.
Wish I'd gone to the Epping store!

My burner quest continues...

Does anyone know if there's a retailer in Sydney that sells Italian spiral burners? Hoping to pick one up on Saturday.

Yea I have gone to that store for last minute dry yeast. Not fond of the service there.
