nascent iodine - can I use it for starch conversion test?

SWMBO has a bottle of Detoxadine (nascent iodine - USP grade), which for the dosage size (3 eyedrops) has 1,950 mcg and USP Kosher cert vegetable glycerin and triple distilled water: http://www.globalhealingcenter.com/ab/cre/detoxadine/dt_v1.html

will it work for the starch conversion test? getting out of my uggboots and leaving my house to hit up the chemist is a daunting prospect in my current state...

Nup. it should go black in a split second
