Does the can say what temperature to ferment it at? If it's below 18 you can assume it's a lager yeast.
 
Yep, lagers are more in the range of 12 degrees. You could always throw that yeast away and use a lager yeast, you'd likely get a better result, if you have the ability to control your ferment temp that low?
 
Thanks carniebrew I thinks thats what I will do I have just got an old fridge and temp control ; ;)-)

A bit like coopers Draught and Lager ? A Lager like Beer? but I really want to make a lager :lol:
