Had an epiphany today whilst knocking out my Citra Cube Hop APA. (see What Are You Brewing II)

Came up with this idea to get a "quick glance" idea of how my boil off and other volumes are going.

They are 12mm rubber washers from male tap fittings that fit beautifully over sightglass polycarbonate tubing.

I've got four of them on my sightglass.

the top one is my dough in water required for BIAB.

The second from top is the pre boil volume required.

The third one down is halfway through the boil

The bottom one is my post boil marker.

Works a treat!!

EDIT: Even better if i include the fucken photo....

And because they are moveable, just set up your sightglass before you start brewing. Easy as....

I do the same but with nylon compression fitting olives with a small piece cut out so they clip onto the sight glass.

Good idea, a lot neater than mine. I've got a small chuck of 1/2" silicone hose I throw on mine. Just a slit down the back and it sits in place.
