Folks,

I'm just a newbie on this board, so I will apologise in advance if I have posted this note in the wrong section.

Jayse is making an AG Oatmeal stout here at the 'G' Spot on Saturday.

We are putting on a free barbeque and similar format to the Big Brew 2004 Day.

There will be some interesting brewers here as well as some interesting beers to try.

If you can come for the day well and good. If you can only come for a short while, you are also welcome.

It's a good opportunity for Kit brewers to mix with others and improve their brewing knowlege.

Hrrmph! Bloody wine tours! I know where I'd rather be.

Just be sure to keep a bottle of the Irish Red for me Dave.

Steve

If the wine tour is in the Barossa - you can allways drop by my place.

GMK

If it was in the Barossa I would stop in to inspect the repair job on the step and quaff a few ales of course... but it's the Sea & Vines at McLaren Vale.

SWMBO booked us on the bus before we realised the dates clashed.

The system is in postion at the g-spot ready for the brewday.
I will be using my HERMS system and will have a few other brewing toys on show such as the hop back and counter pressure bottle filler.
Hope to see you all there.

Oatmeal stout is all down and yeast pitched.
Dave wanted me to take the brew home with me but i left it fermenting at the G-SPOT for everyone to taste when its ready in 3-4 weeks.
The day was a great turn out with too many brewers to mention but to give a round number i would say over 30 to proberly 40 people rocked up over the day maybe even as many as 50 but i was not counting.
I spent a lot of time one on one talking it over with the future mash brewers and everyone had a very good day.

Major murphy's law happened today with the HERMS pump actually catching fire and blowing the power out to the whole shop.

All in all it was a damn fine day indeed.

Cheers Jayse

anyone grab a photo of the brewery burnin' down sould like a blast! :)

Bigd did take some photos' on the day but i don't think we have one with the pump in flames sorry.
It was actually on fire with flames everywhere not just smoking away either.
Oh well, the pump cost me nothing and now i can move on and get my march pump.
The pump that caught fire was not mag drive which i 'think' was what caused the problem with it having to pump a bit higher yesterday than it ussually does at home and i didn't get it primed properly first.
Iam sure bigd will get the pics up when he gets home after the trip.

Cheers Jayse
