An FYI if people haven't noticed. MG Steam and Hightail is $40 a case at Woolies at the moment. Considering it's $21 a six pack it's a big bargain.

Check the best before date! Near the base of the bottle

Two months off (22/6/12 on mine). Not fresh but it's half price! Better than Dan's where cheap usually means past the best before. Hell Dan's still has Murray's Nirvana on it's shelves in some stores. Also of note is that it is a best before date not a use by, there is a difference.

To consumers yes, to retail liquor, no. Any best before code is treated the same as use by. The product should enter a detailed price reduction system 4 weeks out from said code, and any remaining put down the sink on the date of the code.
