Hi Gang

It's that time again, when the ANHC rolls out our Melbourne Pairing Dinner.

Each year since 2008, the ANHC (Australian National Homebrewing Conference) has selected a handful of the most highly acclaimed award winning homebrewers in Australia, and along with the William Angliss Institute, created a series of the most exciting gustatory experiences on a beer lovers calender.

For the 7th annual homebrew and food celebration, we've recruited four up-and-coming professional brewers, whose thirst for brewing is so strong that it is so scarcely satiated by producing award winning Victorian craft beer during the working week – they all find themselves brewing at home on the weekends too. Home brewing allows them to utilise ingredients and processes that they might not get a chance to use at work, so we encouraged them to get creative and unleash their geeky inner homebrewer.

This years dinner features a menu designed by two hat Chef Brendan Sheldrick - Head Chef at Neil Perry's stunning Italian-centric Rosetta Ristorante at Crown Melbourne – who also happens to be a passionate beer drinker and keen homebrewer. Brendan's menu will be skillfully prepared by the teaching staff and students at Angliss Restaurant, and is a fantastic opportunity to experience the talent and creativity of Melbourne's current and future top chefs.

Four courses have been designed to pair elegantly with beers from Steve “Hendo” Henderson (BrewCult), Simon Haylock (Red Hill), Sam Slaney (Thunder Road) and Ian Morgan (3 Ravens), who will introduce you to their beers throughout the evening. Canapes will be served on arrival with beer courtesy of Boneyard Brewing.

The ANHC is a biannual conference promoting the art and science of brewing. This year's conference will be held in Canberra on the 17th and 18th of October – for more details visit anhc.com.au. The Food and Beer Pairing dinner is an annual event held in Melbourne.

Just a reminder ticket sales close today. Don't miss out on this excellent event!

We have been allowed to extend the ticket sales cut-off to 7AM next Monday (Sept 01) - which means you have the weekend to still purchase tickets.

I can also confirm approximately 20 seats remain to put us at maximum capacity. Looking to be a great event.
