Hi All,

Next week I fly out to the US for 3 weeks to attend a homebrew retailers conference in Baltimore and then the AHA conference in Cincinatti.

After talking to DOC, he sent me a whole lot of links to places to see in San Francisco including the Anchor Brewery Tour. I sent an email which they replied saying that all their tours were full, but they make exceptions for fellow brewers and booked me in! YAY!

Anyone have any other suggestings for Baltimore, Washington DC or Cincinatti?? Not just brew related by the way.

Cheers

Armstrong,

I can't comment on the brew scene as its been years since I was there, but DC is a great place to explore.

The Smithsonian isn't just 1 museum it's made up of many specialised museums eg Air & Space (see the original Wright brothers plane) & Natural History (the mineral collection is awesom). Library of Congress, Arlington Cemetary, walk down "The Mall", lincoln Memorial, Washingtom monument, Vietnam memorial etc etc. Grab a copy of "Lets Go USA" or Lonely Planet. There are too many great places to visit in DC & there is a lot of histoic places there if you're interested eg not far outside DC civil war battle sites can be found.

If you have the opportunity go for a drive out to Pensylvania to visit Amish country especially the towns of Intercourse & Blue Balls (no kidding that's their names). It's really pretty & you are sure to pick up presents that female loved ones will appreciate.

Wish it was me going - enjoy your trip
