I'm about to do up a Mangrove Jacks IPA kit that i got given for Christmas.

Is it worth improving with some extra hops and grain? Or is fine as it is?

It was the soft pack type..

Had some ingredients left over from my last brew, so I added:

120 g medium crystal
20 g Cascade
10 g Centennial

It'll be fine.

Tasted one done with 1.5 kg of Briess CBW Pilsen Light Malt, dry hopped with 25g of Tomahawk and 25g of Simcoe the other day. Was bloody nice.

Done on the kit yeast, which is actually a Craft Series one and fermented at 18 deg.

Martin

Edit note: added the malt used.

I've done a few of the MJ craft series pouches and really like them. I've done the London Bitter, Irish Stout, and the Nut Brown Ale...all very nice. The only thing I added was appropriate the Copper Tun (Brewcraft) enhancer.

What one would you add for the IPA? There are enhancers for every other style, but my LHBS doesn't have one for an IPA...does one even exist? Or would I just use the English Bitter one or something else?

I've actually found myself brewing more of these lately, and less BIAB, because of time restraints...but no complaints at all. :)
