My dad and his wife recently returned from a holiday in Sri Lanka where he enjoyed drinking Lion Stout.

I would like to give it a try but cant seem to find it anywhere in Melbourne. Anyone know if you can get it here in Australia? I tried Purvis and majestic Cellars but no luck.

Cheers

I got a 6 pack of it about 12 months ago from Cambridge Cellars in Inkerman St, near Caulfield Park.

Yeah, I know, not conveniently located for you...

It's a good stout, worth giving a go if you run across it, but not worth driving from Frankston. Not when there's soooo much other choice available.

Thanks mate, if Im ever out that way I can call in and grab some.
Cheers

This is available at my local bottlo on Sydney rd, Brunswick. Not local to OP and I know this is a thread necro. Main point for me is just how much i have been enjoying this recently. Very velvety and chocolatey, not a hint of wrong alcohol at 8.8%.

Much better than many other beers from this region (the Lion lager may be OK on a hot day in Sri Lanka but hardly a session beer at the abv it has and certainly no trumer).

If you see it, have a dig.
