Hey brewers,

I have some dribs and drabs of leftover hop pellets from past brews and was thinking about combining them all in the one recipe as a bit of an experiment.

I have been having a fiddle with some ideas in Brewmate but I'm interested in any ideas and recipes you guys could throw my way.

I'm guessing with the minimal amount of hops I have left, it will be about a 20L or so brew.

Here are my leftover hop pellet quantities:

East Kent Goldings - 50g

Galaxy - 47g

Cascade - 42g

Nelson Sauvin - 24g

I was thinking of a continually hopped IPA but then realised I probably don't have enough hops for an IPA. I may use the Nelson Sauvin to dry hop in secondary.

Any ideas will be appreciated. Cheers.

EKG is not bad for bittering.

Then do 10min and FO additions Galaxy / cascade they work well together.

Dry hop as you said with NS

Hey Bats,
Just throwing this one out there...
Those hop left overs remind me of 2 of my fav beer clones, LCPA and fay yak.
How about a mix of the 2 clones hop additions and use your galaxy in place of chinook.
You would have to adjust your hop additions to suit your left overs.
If you do it let me know how you go.

Have put the 2 clones hop additions below:
5 g

Chinook (Pellets, 11.4 AA%, 60 mins) LCPA Clone

30 g

Goldings, East Kent (Pellets, 4.8 AA%, 60 mins)

20 g

Chinook (Pellets, 11.4 AA%, 20 mins)

10 g

Cascade (Pellets, 5.0 AA%, 20 mins)

15 g

Chinook (Pellets, 11.4 AA%, 10 mins)

15 g

Cascade (Pellets, 5.0 AA%, 10 mins)

25 g

Cascade (Pellets, 5.0 AA%, 5 mins)

25 g

Chinook (Pellets, 11.4 AA%, 5 mins)

20 g

Chinook (Pellets, 11.4 AA%, 0 mins)

20 g

Cascade (Pellets, 5.0 AA%, 0 mins)

10 g
Cascade (Pellets, 7.8 AA%, 60 mins) FAY YAK clone.
5 g
Nelson Sauvin (Pellets, 12.5 AA%, 60 mins)
10 g
Cascade (Pellets, 7.8 AA%, 10 mins)
5 g
Nelson Sauvin (Pellets, 12.5 AA%, 10 mins)
5 g
Nelson Sauvin (Pellets, 12.5 AA%, 0 mins)
10 g
Cascade (Pellets, 7.8 AA%, 0 mins)

Make a bowl beer

Put half the Galaxy and half the EKG aside for another day.

Chuck the rest all in a bowl and mix well.

Add enough to get 2/3 of your target IBU at 60min,

With the remaining
1/3 at 20
1/3 at 10
1/3 dry hop

A nice malty wort with heaps of Munich, but mash at 65 and it will rock.
