Ok guys,

I filled my system with water to discover a number of leaks..d'oh.

Actually the leaks are almost anywhere that a Stainless valve, nipple, elbow etc joins with another stainless piece.

I am thinking that I should buy some Silicon washers or something similar, is this the best course of action?

Cheers Once again

Man you want to talk about leaks, we just copt 20mm rain in about 15 minutes. Thankfully my brew gear doesn't leak at all, good luck with the repairs ! :D

Sorry, Is this stuff Medical type tape?

Every day thread tape mate.

if you need silicon washers you can make them up out of silicon bakeware found at red dot stores etc $$$ cheaper and just as effective.

djackal - often called plumbers tape. you'll find it at any old hardware store.

I use red fibre washers inside and out, bulkhead nuts (with a flange for sealing up against the vessel) and thread tape on the threads.

Screwy

Good thing you tested it with water first. Once you pull everything apart, wrap plumbers tape around every thread and retighten, do another test run, and try it with hot water.
