I don't normally look forward to Monday mornings, but I am looking forward to tomorrow.
The All Blacks completed the Grand Slam overnight after beating England, Wales, Ireland and Scotland in the last number of weeks.
The NZ League team smashed the Kangaroos in Leeds to take out the Tri-Nations.
And finally the Wallabies turned into the Wobblies again.
I had one comment today from an Aussie saying at least we can still play cricket. I then reminded him of the Ashes loss :p

I wondered how long it would take you to post Doc :)
At least they got a result in the football - funny old game isn't it... :)

<insert obligitary redneck "sod off back to your own country" comment here>.

It's ok Doc, in the last 2 world cups Australia haven't looked strong going in, while NZ have peaked too early. Kinda like the situation we have now. And just when was the last time NZ won a world cup?

We've been going through an extended rebuilding phase without having proper depth and backup since the turn of the millenium. With Henry at the helm I think we are finally on the road back to full international glory. I really hope the NZRU keep him on as coach right through the next world cup and onto 2011.

I've been using the old chestnut of NZ has been to a football world cup more recently than Australia too up until this last week :p

Doc

PS: and didn't the Silver Ferns roll the Aussie girls recently too :p

That's just scraping the bottom of the barrel. I hear you beat us once in tiddlywinks, maybe you should hold a parade.

<tongue firmly in cheek>

Yes it's been a sad month for the rugby codes. The Wallabies have been leading up to this for a couple of years now. However, with a new coach and halfback, we'll be back to embarrasing the All Blacks again in the next World Cup B)

Cheers - Snow

The Wallabies seem to be suffering from an over-reliance on ill-suited league strategies. It suited them in the past, but now they are struggling for quality specialist players in key positions such as prop. Hopefully they will eventually strengthen their pack and start playing rugby again.

As for the Kangaroos, Bennett had them choking like the Broncos. His strategy of getting a whole lot of good players together and hoping for the best hasnt worked for his club and it isnt working for the country.

They come to Oz and support the All Blacks - More Terrorists!!!!! Lock em up I say!!

That's a low blow.

It's great being a duel citizen, have supported the All Black's through thick and thin. League what's that? (tongue in cheek, I played for 2 years when there was no local Rugby club after coming over).

Though with cricket (the real game they play in heaven) it's Aussie all the way.

Back on topic, is that another 4 1/2 years undefeated coming up? I got so sick hearing about how the Wobblies did a clean sweep of the British Isles and therefore the 4 1/2 years undefeated was no real achievement in comparison. Not to mention the dark day that ended the undefeated run. We do take the women aswell
