Hi guys does any one know the difference between what Lallemand call their premium series as opposed to their normal series yeasts? for instance you can get Nottingham ale (the one I'm interested in) in both, so whats the difference?

I suspect they are in the process of rebranding
Sometime soon it wouldn’t be a surprise if all their yeast was called "Premium"
It's been interesting to watch, for years LeSafe was the clear market leader, but over the last year or two Lallemand have really grabbed the ball, bringing out some new and interesting yeasts, a few we haven’t seen in sachet before, even a bit of rebranding.
Bee good to see how Saf respond, their E2U hasn’t really cut through.

I'm sure Mark's right about rebranding. If you go to their website and click on Notty or any other yeast, you get the tech specs for the Premium. From memory they look the same as what I've used in the past.

Marketing departments do love the words "premium" and "select."

Think you have probably hit the nail on the head, sounds a lot better to something "premium"
