Hi all,
Had to do a quick brew for an upcoming party. I didn't have time to do an AG so i put down a Coopers Euro Lager. 24 hours later at 18 deg, hardly any Krausen, it then clicked to me that the Euro Lager kit has a Lager strain yeast.I haven't got that many days to wait for it to fermant out so i added a US 05 i had in the fridge and left the temp at 18. 48 hours later still only a "lager" type Krausen, I recall reading if this is done usually one of the yeasts takes over.
One would think the Ale yeast would still start chomping on the sugars and froth away???
I'm not overly worried about it cause i have other kegs ready and i will buy some commercial shit but......anybody know what happens in this combo case?
Cheers
