Just wondering what can i do with all those packs of ale yeast from under the lids of the cans? i do AG now, and i was told that you can dump a pack or two into the boil as some type of nutrient for the pitched yeast during fermentation. Is this so? or should i just dump em?

No reason not to drop one in each boil. AG brews have tons of nutrients for yeasties, but a bit of dead yeast will make sure your pitched yeast has everything it needs, especially for high gravity brews.

It is also good to keep a few in the fridge for emergencies, such as dead starters, failure to thrive yeasts etc.
