Pat,
You claim legally obtained, so there should be no issue as you can no doubt show proof. If not not, then you shouldn't be selling them & certainly not on this website.

i'm reading betweeen the lines

'legally obtained' = not getting caught when pinching something yeah? :p

Pat says they are legal.

Selling illegal kegs on this site is outside our guidelines and not permitted.

Kegs removed for sale!!

point taken on all accounts.

I didnt get these by swinging by the back of a pub as i dont condone that sort of thing, i did obtain these plus three more for my brewary from a srap metal joint two years ago so if thats still stealing well im sorry for offending anyone and the site.

Pats,

I was genuinally interested in purchasing if legit, hence my questions.
Unless the scrap metal yard provided you with proof of ownership, then you most likely have taken recievership of stolen goods. In which case they weren't legally obtained, even though you paid good money for them. That is your affair & i'm not offended or going to pass judgement, but you shouldn't claim they were legally obtained to resell if they weren't.

Regards Ross

Out of interest, what happens when you're in possession of kegs illegally obtained?
