Thinking about a brewery expansion coupled with reality  Currently I have a home made 25L bucket MLT which works very well however it is plastic so building a herms system with it may be pushing it?

Anyway those of you who have kegs as mash tuns my question is: are they too big? Usually I brew single batches with about 5 - 6kg of grain and sometimes less if I am going for a low alcohol brew (not often :p ). I am a bit worried that a 5kg mash in a 50L keg would give a pretty small grain bed ... I would probably do some double batches but most of the time it would be single brews. I currently fly sparge so that is why I am worried ... if you batch sparge I guess it is not too big a deal?
