I find that fascinating that after the 18 months you guys have been in business that they are still the most popular items. That's crazy but I guess as you say, you do wholesale a lot so it makes sense.

And I'm not saying change it for me, but for me, it's just a bit boring to see the same things, so perhaps a week about would be more interesting, see what people are buying from week to week.

Either way, I'll still be logging into your website on a daily, every second day basis to look and dream and ponder!

Cheers

We totally agree with you. I think we should show the most popular items for that particular day. This would make the website more interesting to look at. Thanks of your support Nullnvoid! We really appreciate it.

@Nullnvoid.... How are you going to spend the bosses hours now?

****hub?

This thread is getting long enough as it is. If we can try to keep the conversation relevant to the other people on the forum that would be good. What new stuff do you guys want us to work on for you. That's really what we should talk about. We have some really cool internet connect temp controllers that we are working on. What featured in particular do you guys want to see?

What new stuff do you guys want us to work on for you

1) Im keen on seeing fermenter cooling options. I remember there was a post a while back pointing to a fermzilla coil accessory - That would be nice.. stainless?
I currently brew 60L - 120L at a time so fridge fermentation chambers would just take up too much room... currently have a diy glycol chiller with independent brewpiless temp controllers which circulates around my fermenters with vinyl tubing. Works great at ferm temps but cold crashing isnt as responsive as i would like - takes about 24 hours due to not much heat transfer ability.. Direct metal to wort contact would be alot better. The ss brewtech stuff is just too expensive.

There should be a market, everyone says get an old fridge as a ferm chamber (and i can see @donald_trub above pushing for the new fridge) which i agree is the easiest option and is good... but alot of people are going the jacketed glycol route now as well.

2) Pressurizable Stainless conicals... The fermizilla is great for the general homebrewer however if i have to drop $400 - $600+ on a couple of 55L fermzillas, i may as well go stainless. Spending that much money on a big coke bottle is a bit concerning for me whereas stainless will last forever.

Im impressed with Spike brewings conical range and would buy one tomorrow but no one in aus seems to import them.

Edit: ^^ Would be great if the fermzilla cooling coil was interchangeable over to the Kegmenter also. Have been looking at getting a kegmenter to use as a brite however cant find way of cooling without a frige. stainless coils to fit a 4 inch hole seem to be really expensive or i would have to get custom made.

Continuing from above while im here... Ill rattle off a few other things that im looking into.

- Temp Controller. That would be good. Needs PID though.
- Keg/fermenter Washer - The ss brewtech one at $250+ for a little stand and tiny pump is a big no thanks for me.. looking at diy'ing one soon.
- CIP accessories, for fermenters + kettles.
- 3V vessels - Mash tuns, Boil kettles etc.. For the bigger batch guys... Obviously you guys seem to be focusing on the robobrews - nothin wrong with that though and 3V may not be your jam. There are alternatives like CP which are pretty good in that department.
- Cheaper/Smaller Size G40.1

Also, not bashing SS brewtech stuff, its amazing stuff but just out of my price range.

I think there is a gap in the AUS market for controllers similar to the Ss Brewtech eBrewing controllers which are coming but will be $$$$. There are options like the ink-bird IPB-16 which Clawhammer has a version of but they don't suit 240v. This would be great for people who want to DIY their own BIAB or adapt existing equpment (keggles) etc. to electric without having to a) drop major coin on controller and b) not have to make it themselves

Sorry guys. I'm definitely to blame for this. But am also a big supporter!

As for what do we want you guys to work on, I continually come back to the Late Steve Jobs with his thinking to do with Apple things, "The consumer doesn't know what they want, it's our job to tell them what they want/need"

So I don't know what I want, but I'm sure you guys will create something I need!

But I guess data collection and the ability to control and monitor things while I am not there. So iSpindel, Temp controllers etc would be.

But also, things that Soreba suggested. I'm trying to build a 3v plus herms and would love the SS Brewtech stuff, but it's way out of my price range, so more along those lines.

It was mentioned somewhere earlier in this thread about 3v systems and how KL probably won't get into them as the sv systems seem to be the way for most brewers to go. There have even been a few 3v brewers sell their systems to get a sv all in one, last look there's been 2 for sale on this forum in last couple of weeks.

KL is it possible for you guys to look at being a distributor for the plaato products? Their new keg weighing system looks awesome, and l like how it can do C02 as well.

Also like others have mentioned about fermenting chambers with wifi control and data logging.

+1 on the fermentation control with wifi and an open interface that can be used with home automation

Actually I have changed my mind. This is what I want. Something to tell me how much is left in my kegs!

Would also love some kind of keg weighing / monitoring system with wifi/Bluetooth output
Would love to show my brews on a screen, with some details, how much is left, stats etc

Great suggestions @soreba These are all on my wish list as well, especially a stainless unitank.
