I have a brew that is lagering at the moment. I would like to keep it lagering for a few more weeks yet, but I was wondering if kegging and carbonating affects lagering, or is it all the same. Thanks.

Admittedly I don't have a lot of experience although I have brewed and kegged 3 or 4 lagers since I began kegging. These were lagered in the FV for two weeks before being kegged and put straight in the kegerator and carbonated. So, stayed cold the whole time. They definitely were tasting better towards the end of the keg though, so I'd imagine you can do this and you'll get just as good a result if you can keep your hands off it...

Edit: I wish I had a third fridge for this kind of ****.. .would be nice since I can't not drink them once they're in the kegerator.

good question Cummy, i have been wondering the same thing myself. I generally don't carb while lagering but not sure if that is correct? haven't tried it the other way around but maybe i should. When we prime with sugar i guess we are carbonating whilst lagering as opposed to forced carbonation methods once chilled. Mine turn out quite well as is, but I'd like to know other peoples opinions on this subject too.
