87 Warning Points. Bad Boy!
I searched, I PROMISE!
Ok, so I connected my ball lock corny to CO2, and it's been sitting in the fridge force carbonating for 72 hrs at 250kpa (through the dip tube as a few have recommended). I came home tonight, dropped the pressure to 100kpa, pulled a beer and it seems almost flat to me. Now... here's the catch... I put the gas line on the beer out with the GREY connector, without swapping over to the black (have since read I'm not the first to do this, and won't be the last). Being a noob to kegs, I didn't know if pulling off the grey quick-connect would be dangerous (not sure if gas would make it flick about etc) as I levered it off with a spanner, so I released all the pressure in the keg just to be safe.
I'm thinking I just did the equivalent of shaking a coke bottle, i.e - undid the 3 days of carbonating.
Or did I do something else I haven't thought of?
