K-97 Yeast For Oktoberfest?

Hi there

I've got a spare saf K-97 yeast and am considering using it in an ESB Fresh Oktoberfest kit (to be brewed at 15-17 degrees. DCL reckon the optimum is 18 - 24). Considering the Oktoberfest is a pretty malty beer would the ale yeast work or is it better for me to get a saflager W34/70 and brew as a lager?

Brew it as a lager providing you have fermentation temperature control. An Oktoberfest is supposed to be clean and malty.
