There has been some talk about "old" kegs. This may turn out to be a better option. There are a few places around that deal in commercial kitchen and chemical equipment that would look great in a brew shed.

these guys are at Siverwater in Sydney.go through the ir site every so often and you will be amazed at what turns up at pretty good prices.
There are containers that are used for storing chemicals which come out of the same factory in Germany as the Tooheys style kegs. They work well as a fermentor or boiler and you dont need to cut them. I will be having a look at another place this friday and will post the web details then.
