Hi All,
Well, I got the wheat beer down yesterday but this morning to my horror I discovered the brew had foamed through the air lock overnight and there was no sterilising agent in it at all this morning.
I cleaned the lid up, got a new air lock ready and replaced the empty one.
My question is .... what chance is there that the beer will get infected ??
For the record, the yeast was WLP300.
Secondly, is there anyway of discovering whether infection has occurred prior to bottling or is it a case of bottling and hoping for the best ??
Thanks
JFF
