No. If fizzy stuff didn't come out of them, never put fizzy stuff back in.

Hey,

Anyone had any experience bottling with these bottles?

http://www.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/00213558/

they are pretty cheap, $1.49 - just wondering if people think they are suitable for carbinated drinks?

i'm brewing cider - so i guess specifically cider suitable

cheers, Joe
I wouldn't risk it.

Head to your local pub/club and see if you can go through their recycling bin for champagne bottles. They'll cost you nothing. All you need is different crown seals and a wider capping bell, which are both easily sourced from a number of the sponsors of this site.

I got a couple that I bottle in to out of the keg, but I would never carbonate in them.

I carbonated in them to about 2.5 volumes. They work fine.

I stopped using them because 1l is a fair bit, and you need to keep them dark to avoid skunking. Not a problem for cider though.

Edit: I used SLOM or SLOB bottles, not sure how similar the KORKEN are.
