These things make the best MLT IMHO. Minimal temp drop even over a long mash. I thought I'd be upgrading when I bought a Blichmann pot set up as a MLT, but I don't reckon it's any better (if anything, I have to keep a closer eye on my mash temp, as it can drop up to 4-5 degrees depending on ambient temp, and means I'm reliant on my RIMS to hold my mash temp).
Couple of SS fittings and a perforated stainless steel false bottom and you've got a brilliant mash tun.
Good buy if you ask me.
