Hi everyone,
First post on here, my name is Kelsey, just got back into brewing again a few months ago after an 8 year break because I thought we'd thrown out the fermenter, only to find it again in December.
Anyway, I am going to put down Neill's Centenarillo Ale next weekend, got my hops and will get the rest of it on Saturday. I have entered all the recipe info into IanH's spreadsheet, quoting the AA% of the hops as they are on the packets I have. (Centennial 10.5%, Amarillo 9.2%). My question is, when the HCF option on the spreadsheet is set to "NO" it comes out with 56.7 IBUs, when set to "YES" for a 5L boil as the recipe calls for, it comes out with 34.1 IBUs. Which is more accurate?
Cheers,
Kelsey
