I just noticed I left my hydrometer in the freezer compartment of my fermenter fridge.... It's probably got down to 1 or 2 c, just wondering if that would in calibrate it or throw it out??
If so what can I do??
Cheers

Wouldn't think it would make any difference. The hydrometer is based on weight, so I doubt temperature will affect it, at least that's what I understand, happy to be corrected.

If you're worried, take it out of the fridge an let it warm up.

Shouldn't do anything, warm it up drop it in some water and see if still reads 0. If not that's what your calibration is I guess.
Cheers chris

I'll give it a go in some water at around 20c and see what it reads

should be fine - as long as you use it close to room temp

Glass or plastic?
