Hi all.
I bought a kegorator kit and with it for the gas and beer lines came these weird little hose clamps.
How the heck do you use them? I tried clamping the sides of the little sticky up bit in the direction of the arrows with some pliers but nothing moved.

Any ideas? Do I need a special tool?

You should use a clamp crimping tool. Needle-nose pliers also work but do the job badly.

Yep, side cutters would work too. I just use my teeth.

Here is a youtube on how they work if that helps?

I hate those clamps. They are secure but are a bugger to get on and off and you can't reuse them.

Old school hose clamps all the way.

I use the tool pictured in Chap's post but agree with Lionman. Once they are on you have to do quite a bit of work to get them off. I use ones that you screw to tighten them up and have these on most of my lines. The exception is the gas line where I use the stepless ones to make sure that the seal is tight and evenly distributed.
