I've sent off a few competition entries into the Melbourne Beerfest yesterday and it's got me thinking. It will probably get pretty hot somewhere in transit over the long weekend - How will this affect my beers?
I know getting beer hot is bad. But how bad? Is 2-3 days of sitting out really going to make them taste of cardboard?
Maybe I can blame it on that if the judges don't like them... :p

Dropped mine into Greensborough today...curiously was the first to do so.

I reckon you've found the perfect 'get out of jail free' card should you get a bad report!

I just cracked a keg of what was a supurb belgian dubbel going into the keg ... I have not enough room for my greedy, multi-handling brewing ... so the dubbel had 4 days at 32C.

Dubbel has faded, like a bogan's black jeans. Sadface.

Sup, Tardis?

Unless it gets really hot, heat has more of an ill effect on stability over time. Assuming the comp is pretty soon a day or two really shouldn't turn a comp winner in to a dud.
