Gday guys

I have an amber ale clone in primary at the moment, where the gravity has been 1016 for 2 days, i will check tomorrow to see whether it's ready for 2ndry.

The taste testing i've done out of the hydrometer tube is absolutely filled with hop sediments, larger pieces near the bottom but the smaller floaties are all through the brew, and tastes very, very hoppy....

Is it a case of racking it to 2ndry and they will fall out of suspension or should i filter the brew while racking to get rid of all floaties?

Racking to secondary will sort it out...and then racking to bulk prime will reduce it even more. It'll be fine
 
Hi rodderz,
I havent used a hop filter so I cant comment on that.
I would normally rack to secondary and let it settle out for a week or so.
Seems to clear things up pretty well.

Thanks guys....going into unchartered territory for me with this brew so everything gets me worried that beer may be wasted!

I was a bit worried that the strainer I had used to transfer the cooled boiled wort to the fermenter may not have filtered enough out
