I am making a Grolsch brew and would like to know which of two hops bills I have
will give the closest hop profile to the original
I am making a 25 litre batch for both
option # 1
2.6 kg very light malt extract
.3 Kg dextrose
.125 kg crystal
hop bill
40g Saaz @ 60 minutes
20g Halletua @ 20 minutes
20g Halletua @ 10 minutes
option # 2
2.8 kg very light malt extract
.180 Kg Caramunich
.540 kg Crystal
hop bill
25g Northern Brewer @ 60 minutes
15g Saaz @ 15 minutes
8g Halletua @ 13 minutes
15g Saaz @0 minutes
I favour the grain bill , to say , of option 2
both grain bills give similar OG and FG
and the hop bill from option 1
as the I like the taste of Grolsch and assume the taste is mainly from the Halletua
I am using WYEAST 2042 Danish lager
Which brew or mix is going to give the closest outcome
