just bottled my first stout today and it tastes great, but not as much honey flavour as i expected. mabey 325 grams is not enough for a stout.
anybody found the right mix for a slight honey flavour?

i used
1 can morgans dockside stout
1.5 kg coopers liquid dark malt
325 gram beechworth honey
12 gram goldings teabag
muntins premium gold yeast
filled to 18.5L

any ideas for the right amount of honey?
cheers

I have no experience with using it in beer, but we are just about finished a plastic jar of "Pure Beechworth Honey" at home (used for toast, porridge, etc) and it is very watery...

For a stout, I think you would need to use a lot of honey. Honey is about 90% fermentable, so not much flavour is left behind after fermentation. Try using about 1kg of honey. Make sure you give it plenty of time to ferment as honey starts like a rocket but then takes ages to finish. If possible, rack it to secondary and leave it for a couple of weeks.
