Did they taste like shit or did they gush themselves down the sink?

A year or so ago I found an interesting (but old) paper on the common causes of gushers. It is more relevant to commercial breweries than us home types, I suspect, and it doesn't include the previously mentioned problem of refilling bottles several times (as one nice poster mentioned), but you might find it interesting too.

I downloaded it and it's available here if you want (http://selma.phile.com.au/beer/Beer-Gushers.pdf).

They didn't taste like shit. Not the best beer I've done but probably not the worst. They just gushed like a madman. The last one i opened and tipped the entire longneck turned into foam instantly.
