Hi all,
Have been given some dried Hallertau hops straight off a mate's plant.
Was thinking of doing a lager or pilsner with them but wanted to tap into the AHB community's knowledge and get some suggestions please.
I only have a basic kit and can skill level and experience.
Thanks!

Most of the German hops produce quite different flavours in Oz than they do in Germany. Probably best to open them up, have a sniff and maybe make a bit of tea. Depending on what you find, it's likely a good Pale Ale kit with US05 would be the go.

Thanks for the suggestions. I like the idea of doing a Bock.
Was thinking something similar to the Coopers Light German Bock recipe on DIY Coopers:
2 x 1.7kg Lager kit can.
2 x 500g Coopers Light Dry Malt.

If I was to brew it up as a "tea" in a coffee plunger, how many grams of hallertau should i use, how many litres of hot water should i steep it in, and how long should i steep it for?

Thanks in advance for your help ☺
