Hi guys,

I’m a new member, but have been reading the threads for a while.

This is my second year in with growing cascade, chinook and Victoria.

Last year produced some good yields, however there were a few pests along the way.

This year seems worse on my chinook please see photos and let me know what it/they are and what I can do about it!

I have a pole trillis system, with a automatic irrigation system soaking the pot once a day or twice on really hot days. Seeed to work fine last year.

Also there is a photo of my avocado tree near by with what looks like a similar pest not sure if they are related.

Looks like caterpillar damage, inspect the underside of the leaves for tiny green caterpillars and just squash them. Can't make out the bug you have maybe look up sink or shield bug see if you can recognise it there are a few different types.

Thanks mate, sounds about right. I did have catapillar damage similar last year. I could see the caterpillars then, however I can’t see any under the leaves at the moment. I’ve added an organic fungacide for the leaf curl and some fertilisers and it seems to be getting a bit better. Hard to reach top leaves as the trellis is 8 m tall.

I’ll let know know if anything changes.
