Recently I forgot to add the whirlfloc whilst brewing an all grain pale ale...after 2 weeks primary and 1 week secondary the beer has been kegged and looks completely hazy...I've never seen such a cloudy brew...will this clear in the keg...does not adding whirlfloc have such a significant effect ?

What yeast did you use GI. I havent used too many liquid yeasts but I do beleive some are more hazy than others.
I love the Wyeast 1335 II. The beer comes out very clear without needing to use whirfloc etc.

The yeast used was;


Edinburgh Ale
(WLP028)

Scotland is famous for its malty, strong ales. This yeast can reproduce complex, flavorful Scottish style ales. This yeast can be an everyday strain, similar to WLP001. Hop character is not muted with this strain, as it is with WLP002.

Attenuation: 70-75 ; Flocculation: Medium; Optimum Ferm. Temp: 65-70

Whirlfloc drops out the protiens in the boil as far as I know....it would not affect the floculation of the yeast whilst fermenting....
