The old man finally caved in to the home brew today and wants me to knock him up a Guinness copy. So has anyone got a good kit style copy, or is it a hard one to copy?

ESB extra special stout is a nice "Guinness" like stout in a can. You might have to experiment a bit with additives.

I haven't tried this but Country Brewer recommends:
E.S.B Stout Wort Kit
1 kg Dark Liquid Malt
20g Goldings Dry Hopped

Somebody posted this a while back. I haven't tried it but it might be close to the mark:

2. Do your normal run off till your mush tun is dry.
3. Then flood your mush tun with 77C sparge water. Do not start sparging
till your grains are completly covered for 10 minutes.

Never dry-hop a Guiness clone.

Stout traditionally has "no hop aroma". None. Nada. Nyente, nicht, zero zilch zip...
etc.

What about the ESB 15 lt fresh wort stout kit??? A true dump and stir.....the mashing's been done for you. Can't get any easier..can it? Haven't tried it though....
