Hi Guys,

Im looking into setting up a growler station and would love to ask for some advice from anyone that can help. I know that you can repackage beer(fill growler) from kegs less than 48litres without having to pay any additional excise tax and without a manufacturing licence, thats seems pretty black and white to me. Where it gets a bit confusing is what extra licensing I need to be able to clean and fill the growler e.g food authority licensing. I am based in Sydney NSW so if anyone can share their experience that would be much appreciated.

Cheers

No food authority licensing required. No wiggle room in the +48l kegs as well (aka 90%) of what brewers use. Need an NSW retail liquor though, poss DA on the site.

Couple of shops in Melbourne used to send out their own small kegs to folks to make it easier. Anyways, drop us a pm, can help out there.

Anyway, pm me, know all the ins and outs here.
