At the moment there are three ranks

Amateur Brewer
Great Head
Beer God

The more you post the higher the ranks gets. Great head is 20 posts and Beer God is 50 posts.

The board seems to be going along well so I will probably add some new ranks - any ideas?

After you have 500 posts you can choose your title in your control panel - no one will be there for a little while.

Let me know of some other titles and I will add them in.

I should have made them spread further apart - but when I set them up I wasn;t too sure how the board would go - I'm pleasantly surprised how things are going :D

Then this post should make me Great Head.

As a sticker on one of my kegs says...
' Home Brewers get better head '

Cheers,
Doc

Ideas for Titles...

I believe you should let people choose their own.

However here are some...

PartialMan
Homenator
Fermanator
KitMaster
MashMistro.

after 500 posts:
BrewMaster
GrandMaster

All Feedback Welcome...

Some great ones there GMK, I have added those to the ranking titles.

People are able to change their title after 500 posts - I want to leave it at that for the moment.

With GMK's input I have shuffled some of the rankins - sorry guys it will be a little longer until you are beer gods again..... :(

The ranks now go as follow :

Amateur Brewer 0
Kit Master 20
Krausen 50
Great Head 75
Partial Man 100
Mini Mash 150
Mash Maestro 200
Beer God 250
Brew Master 350

On 500 you can choose your own rank.

Guys - Fermenator or Krausen?

Which title do you prefer?

I prefer krausen in terms of a readily identifiable brewing term.

cheers
reg (who will one day again be a beer god ;-)

Yep. Definately Krausen.

Perhaps Beer God and Brew Master should be swapped around.

Cheers,
Pete - Who, like Reg, hopes to one day reclaim his lost deific status.

Hahhahaha :D

I'm already Administrator - so those ranks don't apply to me - I would have been happy with Amateur Brewer :( If only.....

Beer Names

Hermanator

This is the name of one of the few traditional Ice Bocks made in the world.
I have posted the link to the brewery web site with an excert detailing the beer below:

http://www.vanislandbrewery.com/products.htm

HERMANNATOR ICE BOCK
(Seasonally available) This rare and complex beer is slow fermented then krausened and later frozen for 45 days. Between 5 and 7 % of the volume remains behind as ice, leaving a deep ruby colour, a remarkably smooth and slightly sweet warmth with a brandy like finish.

Fermenator

I thought this was a fun name to do with beer brewing ...ie we ferment wort with yeast to produce beer and alcohol.

I think you should go
Brew Master @ 250
Grand Master @ 350
with finally Beer God @ 500 posts.
