Glass Vs Pet Carboy

I am thinking of moving from the white screw lidded fermenters to the carboys, is one better than the other?

There are a few threads discussion glass vs better bottle, etc.

I personally use standard fermentors still for most beers.

I use glass for sours/funky beers.

Yet to use my better bottle for long term beers though.

More fun getting the beer out of a carboy though! Siphon, etc...
