There's a porter in my brew fridge. I'd thought about using wyeast ESB 1968 or Wyeast Irish ale yeast. When it came to it I didn't have a starter prepared - Happily I had some safale in the fridge - always good to keep some on hand. Imagine not being able to brew because there's no yeast - now that would be crook.

Good day
Brewed today with my back up Safale because all the HBSs are shut and other starters are not ready. So Reg gives good advice in having good dry yeasts in reserve.
