if jelly sets after adding boiling water why doesn't gelatine (which many state here because it denatures)? Isn't the setting agent in jelly gelatine? Honestly asking for the difference.

I might try a little bit of jelly to fine the yeast out of my next brew.

Alternatively, mixing a bit of tap water with boiled kettle water can hit the 70C people state. Honestly, if your sanitary with the materials used you don't need to muck around with the microwave.
 
The mother of my own children is young. I've got 5 years on her and I wouldn't have it any other way :p

Hmm maybe it takes a certain length of exposure to boiling temps to denature? I've used gelatin to thicken gravies before and I've dumped it in at boiling and turned the heat of only after stirring it in - and it still thickens the crap out of it.
