Hi guys, I'm looking to upgrade my very simple gas fired biab setup by adding an electric element and a pump to the keggle for recirculation. My question is, can i fit these to the keggle but still use gas to help ramp up to mash and boil? Obviously I would need to take care to keep wires away from flame. I am primarily concerned with getting more control of mash temps. Would be good to save on gas as well. I was thinking of trying a keg king element and temp controller to run it. Thoughts??

Might be better to grab an over the side element instead. That way you can just remove it when you gas fire the kettle.

If that won't work with biab, maybe try a rims/hex setup instead.
