Hi all ;
Just formulated this recipe using Galaxy hops . I do like a good hoppy beer but have read a bit of contriversy over this hop . Too much can give a metallic flavour . If used right will give a great fruity flavour . Does the hop regime look right not too over the top ?

Galaxy Pale

3.75 kg Pale Malt
1.00 kg Wheat malt
450 gm Caramalt
15.00 gm Galaxy @ 60 min
20.00 gm Galaxy @ 15 min
30.00 gm Galaxy @ 0 min

Mash at 66.8 for 60 min yadayadayadaydada

Ferment @ 18* C

Yeast WLP 001

IBU 38.5 ABV 5.08

Cheers

Thru spectrometer testing using the new-ish hops (topaz and galaxy are one) I know 38% of my final bitterness is coming from the late hops - so what is the BU contribution of the 2 late hops? At the AA you may get away with buggar all at the bittering stage!

also dry hop at 1 - 1.25 gms per litre when the ferment is just about done. Having great affect with the dry hoped topaz ale I am doing.
