hi all,
wasnt sure exactly where to post this and couldnt find anything of help on ye ol' Google so hope any of you can help!

pitched the yeast in my first BIAB all-grain yesterday (Dr Smurto's Landlord ESB clone) and checked it this morning to find that the fermenting wort appeared to be 'alive'; what looked like cold-break debree was swirling around in the wort as if it was alive and swimming around (kind of reminded me of 'sea monkeys haha). no one had touched the fermentor at all but these large clumps were swimming in all directions (not just up and down) and were throughout the whole thing. quite an odd sight that ive never seen before on any other extract brews
everything went well with the brew and theres currently a healthy Krausen from the US-04. i followed my usual sanitation regime and used no-rinse starsan.
am i worrying over nothing or is my brew possessed?

Thanks!

Sounds like a normal fermentation. The fact that you think Landlord is an ESB is slightly upsetting. If you're brewing a TT Landlord clone and expecting an ESB you'll be a bit disappointed.

To be fair to OP, it's listed as an ESB on the recipe DB.

My apologies! From what i gathered without actually having tried landlord myself, that it was ESB-like with its flavours?
Was just making a somewhat tried and true recipe for my first ag, thats all!

It's a pale ale, I'm not familiar enough with ESB as a style to know exactly where the differences lie.

It's normal. Happens every brew for me. I figure it's trub/yeast clumping together and getting launched by CO2 being released.

sounds like you could be on the money spryzie, the fermentation seems to have finished at only the 3rd day so im thinking that it was just due to the rigurous fermentation :p
fingers crossed this 'pale ale' comes out a winner!
