Just got home from being away from the weekend and the thermostat in my keg fridge must be on the fritz.

I know have two frozen kegs.

Anyone else ever had frozen kegs ?

Eagerly awaiting two kegs to thaw,
Doc

Doc, I have also had a couple of kegs freeze on me a few years ago  . I was a bit concerned at the time but didn't have any problems with the kegs or beer. There was no noticeable change in the quality of the beer - THANK GOD :)

Phew.

Thank god for that.
I'd be really pissed off if I had to lose the full keg of Robust Porter and the half keg of Australian Strong. The Weizen hadn't completely frozen but that keg was down to 2/5 ths anyway.

So tonight I'm drinking from the keg that is in the lager fridge in the shed (that is currently cold conditioning an Oktoberfest).

Beers,
Doc

I too have had a couple of kegs freeze , made no difference to the beer at all , only the wait till I could pour again
:chug:

thats it after a week end away your hanging for a tasting of your beer.
being frozen just makes it hard to drink.

Doc,

No doubt in search of that Carlton Cold Filtered taste eh?

Doesn't Palmer discuss frozen keg/fermenters???

Nothing to worry about
