Hi Guys,

I was CCing an ale and my fridge went slightly mental and froze the entire contents of the cube. I'm assuming this has the yeasties. I'm going to do the following but just wanted to see if anybody had any differing thoughts.

Melt on it's own and take back to brewing temp
Rack to bulk prime vessell
Add required sugar AND some ale yeast to ensure carbonation in the bottles.

How much yeast should I be adding and am I adding at the right time?

Cheers,
Mut

Yes add it with bulk prime solution, rack beer on top so it all mixes well, i do the same thing after filtering, add fresh yeast i get carbed bottles in one week or less.

Rate = 1million yeast cells / ml = 1 Billion cells / L of beer

Use Mr malty calculator to work out how much yeast you will need.

My beer usually freezes during CC'ing (accidentally of course) and i havent had a problem with carbing up in a bottle yet. there are 3 AHB members I have given beers to in the last 3 or 4 weeks and all 3 brews have all been frozen and are all in bottles naturally carbed.

Your beer will be fine.
